A hand thrown, turned, and hand built decorative vessel. It is glazed only in the interior cavity to be able to hold water and liquids safely, while the exposed body is left unglazed to show off the beauty of the clay. Fired in cone 10 reduction atmosphere, this is a warm clay body, depending on where it is placed in the kiln will sometimes turn into a redder tone. Some are a bit cooler in tone than this one. This is a vase I am designing to be in my longer term shop collection, so you will see more versions and variations of these in my next shop update [in different clay bodies]. The concept behind this vase is to be a beautiful sculptural piece by itself and when a piece of flora is placed, the design of the offset flange interacts with the flora creating a more complex piece.

These pots are dishwasher safe and microwave safe, although please take care nothing hits or bashes into the pots as it will cause chipping. Washing by hand is the best and safest option. I personally hand wash all my handmade pottery and don’t use them in a microwave oven.

Please remember this is a handmade and hand thrown piece and each piece is individual with their own variability that make each one of them very delightful indeed.
